The Volkswagen FactoryTour vehicle which was launched in June 2013, allows visitors to experience a tour of Volkswagen Group South Africa’s manufacturingfactory in Uitenhage in comfort and style.
“With over 10 000 visitors to our factory annually, the FactoryTour Vehicle has helped speed up the factory tours especially with the senior citizens thatsometimes struggle to walk around the factory,” explainrf Matt Gennrich, General Manager Group Communications.
“Another benefit is that it has also allowed us to reduce the minimum age of our visitors to eight years due to the improved safety of being transported inthe FactoryTour vehicle.”
Volkswagen’s factory tours take place on Mondays to Thursdays at 09h00 and 12h00. On Friday, there is only one tour at 09h00. Bookings can be made throughthe Volkswagen AutoPavilion on 041 994 5941/3. The FactoryTour includes the tour of the AutoPavilion, where some of the Volkswagen South Africa classiccars are on display.
